Student Portfolios with Google Sites

With JCPS being an Google for Education district, all students have access to Google Sites.  This could be a perfect opportunity for students to start keeping a digital portfolio (yes, technology has finally caught up with this idea) in a seamless and meaningful way.

Students and teachers will want to login to http://sites.google.com with their @stu.jefferson.kyschools.us or @jefferson.kyschools.us username and password.  If you are a teacher and have recently (just prior to 11/06/2014) changed your password, then please login with your “previous” password.  These are not-yet-sync’d to the Active Directory.

Each year, a student would have to post a piece of digital evidence to their portfolio.  This could be a graduation requirement?  Or possibly just of benefit to the student as evidence of his/her creative work– a repository or showcase.
